I made this candy at Christmas. I made 4 different flavors. I had not seen this video before today but you made it exactly the same way I did!

I made this recipe 3 times and it’s the best one on YouTube. His simple steps are the key. But you gotta keep stirring or you’ll burn it.
But it turns out really well. Enjoy.

Made these tonight with grape Lorrane's. I didn't need any food coloring. Turned out dark purple and great!!! Thanks for the recipe.

You see, I never really had grandparents.. My grandmother on my mom's side called me grossvand overweight when I was like 7.. It almost made me anorexic, thank god my parents were perceptive of it early on. But again, I never really had grandparents. But when I stumbled on this channel, I feel like I finally understand the whole grandparent thing. Honestly, he's so sweet and goofy and I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I made my candies while watching your guiding video and it was really helpful!! Your instruction is clear and straight forward, simple to follow! I also got my own experience while making them. It seems like the more water I put the harder the candy dries. So for the third time I put less water but more syrup and sugar, then the candy became very quick to dry. I also put in different food colors. However it seems difficult to make them into shapes so I ended up with random shapes like porcelain fragments of!! My friends love them!! Thank you so much for your video and your assistant. p.s I love those cute animals pop up sometimes~~~

Thank you! I love licorice but not soft chewy licorice. So I decided to make my own with a little Anise extract and black food coloring. ;) Can't wait to make it.

My six year old loved this video! Last Christmas I made ribbon candy and candy canes, it's similar but as it starts to cool you work the candy and shape it.

Thank you so so much!. I used to pay $26.99 plus shipping for a 5lb bag of white rock candy to decorate my Geode Cakes. I did not place mine in the freezer cause I was afraid I would get condensation. And, I also used just a few drops of a clear lemon flavor cause I need to keep it clear white. Thanks once again

I put 7 grams of marijuana extract in the recipe ( legal here!). Very tasty pain relief to help get off opiates after surgery. Thanks for the video.

You made this look so easy!  My girls use to ask me to make anise candy EVERY year.  It was a 50/50 chance it would turn out (either I didn't cook it long enough, or I burned it!).  Maybe now that I have a digital thermometer I may be more successful!  Anyway....thanks for the memories!
