Hands-On Fractions Greater than 1 Lesson

This video walks through my hands-on, interactive lesson I use to introduce my 3rd graders to fractions greater than 1 (improper fractions). Through manipulating the cookies, students are also interactive with concepts connected to comparing fractions and equivalent fractions and whole numbers as fractions.
You cannot also use this lesson to connect with mixed numbers, which would make this lesson a great one for 4th grade.
