System76's adoption of rust is so exciting!

Comparing the exact same setup (ThinkPad T480), using Power Saver Mode under:
- Fedora 35 with power-profiles-daemon
- Pop!_OS 21.10 with BTRFS, system76-power, and system76-scheduler

I have found Pop!_OS holds up significantly better under regular usage, probably due to the scheduler since power-profiles-daemon and system76-power should be the same.
GNOME 42 with triple buffering can't land soon enough!

How does this compare with the TuneD daemon? It seems the profiles available in that package already perform what System76 is working towards.

Until around 7:00 I was thinking, yeah this is just marketing speak. How are you going to make things more efficient, faster, and latent. Then when you started showing the config, I thought, yeah that's just like `renice` on Linux, what's special about that? I've never bothered to configure nice or anything like that, I doubt I would with this new scheduler. So, wanting to know how this new scheduler is different from the old, I started looking for how priorities are currently configured. I can't find any configuration file mentioned anywhere. I know you can manually, or in a reactionary way, change the priority. But is there a config currently? I think you should do a follow up video comparing the current state.

Windows crashes when I play CS:GO. My laptop turns off when I play CS:GO on Linux. I now do all my gaming on an iPad (I only play Genshin Impact though). If only this would be able to fix it...
