The NC is so under-appreciated! Good quality coilovers plus 17x9 wheels and 245 wide tires all around and it will be a terror on the autocross course. Add power and it'll embarrass a LOT of way more expensive cars!

As a 15 year NA owner I agree with Marty: The NC isn't a brutal, spartan driving experience like the NA but it's an amazing daily driver that'll bring some fun into your boring daily errands. Excited to see this NC get some love and mods!

Still have my NC MX-5, owned for 11 years and counting. Always bring a big smile on my face driving it, and the mod scene for it are fantastic and matured enough to dabble in. Have fun with the NC, Marty and greets from Malaysia (waiting for another Sepang drive video )

Being NC owner for 5 years now, i am super excited! Mine is 1st gen 2007, highly modified and i cant think of a better weekend car *for the price.

I recommend "easy" plug and play 2.5 Duratec swap, and after exhaust change MANDATORY car soundproofing. Anyway, have fun, enjoy and love it!

The best MX-5 I ever owned (and I've owned all generations) was the same NC2 that Marty has once I supercharged it and put a header-back exhaust on it. So good. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Looking foward to these builds. Always thought the NC Miatas were cool, even though it seems like they're possibly the least cool in the Miata/MX-5/Eunos/Roadster community. Like the wider stance.

As for the Mini, a family member has a late 2000's manual, and that thing is pretty good to drive. Another has a late 2010's Countryman S, and while reasonably fun to drive, navigating the menus for settings isn't all that intuitive, so Moog's experience there sitting in the driveway trying to get everything setup right is pretty accurate. A lot of button and dial moving, screen navigating and searching, just to drive the thing the way you want.

Why playing with the handbrake? Just put your left foot on the brake, right on gas, release left and win.
To turn TC off, hold the button for a few seconds.

When you guys came to France few years back, i was the guy driving the black NC2 miata because miata is always the answer...

I am so pumped up to watch you modify this car. Really good choice IMO :)
