I’m a student pilot with 70+ hours. (Don’t ask, lots of flight schools screwed me over). I just got the sentry. It will be a great addition to my flight career. Using all the features and all that.

If the sentry is in the window. Is that the best place to have it to detect CO? Is the detector sensitive enough to detect CO before the pilot is asleep? Lol

I'm confused about the slide at 31:15. presenter states "the hockey puck is centered in the airplane". Is it true that adsb in will see traffic transmitting mode c only without a ground station?

The decider for me was a YouTube video that disassembled the regular sentry. Basically they showed that the battery was soldered into the circuit board and was not user replaceable. For me that's a no-go. If I'm going to pay good money for an item I don't want it to become a paperweight after the battery goes without me being able to affect it. Also the actual manufacturer of this device provides no replacement service of the battery. So for my money the Sentry mini is the way to go since I can add any external power supply I wish. I hope the manufacturer of the basic model learns from observations like this and makes it possible to replace that rechargeable battery by the user. Otherwise it's just an expensive piece of junk once the soldered in rechargeable battery goes

if this thing is as good as an installed system, why can it not be certified to use in IMC? I have my guesses why not (hmmm money) Although it to might be the ability to integrate with the autopilot etc also
