Mad respect for finding a Loda attempt of a fountain hook!

Dendi might not have been the best player, but he was a much needed poster child for E-sports and a tremendous personality to propel the scene forward. I'll always be grateful for what he did for the game and helping it blow up. He's featured in the "Free to Play" documentary and I remember watching that back in like 2014 and thinking the Dendi was more than your typical dota player, he was just a good dude. Props to him.

Dendi played DotA, not just dota2 - making it sound like he appeared out of nowhere on the first TI

Dendi introduced the art of hooking, a lot of 90's kids started playing pudge in the early stage of dota2 because of Dendi

He was the Topson of his era in terms of creativity.

Side Note: TI 2011 being all BO1 were because of time limit.. it was 3 days event and ran in Germany gaming event. Not a separate event like other internationals

Everyone’s time comes in the end. Dendi is without a doubt one of the greatest players. Not his fault he shined during the dawn of Dota 2 when the game was completely different than it is today.

The vid was a nice look back at the golden era of Na'Vi in dota, but it didnt really answer the question it set out to ask. "Was prime Dendi as good as we remember?". I def thought it would go a bit more in depth in analysis of "was he as good as we remember?" or "was he a decent mid who was more so enabled by one of the best teams of the time?", by comparing his statistics to other top midlaners at the time and maybe seeing if he did anything different, better, or worse.

I mean, having reached TI finals 3 straight is a feat no other team can achieve. And besides, same in the NBA, we can't compare eras as the game constantly evolves.

So if you'll ask me, Dendi during their era is indeed one of the best. Not even a Dendi fan but I respect and loved him as a player. Forever will be the face of pudge.

For this past decade, for me personally, dendi and navi shows us dota 2, prime liquid(without w33) shows us solid teamfight, prime OG shows us chaotic fun dota

Dendi wasn't the best player in his time, but he was definitely the best to watch. He had an amazing personality, and he never fails to entertain. The ideal pro player in my eyes.

also important, if you look at lh/d at the end of laning stage, he would destroy tier 1 midlaners in "even" matchups. their playstyle in that era was enabled by him being so far ahead of the enemy midlaner
