Bringing the outside in is a MUST in our home. Having something living breathes LIFE into any space. All you need is a pair of sheers (or if you're like me and don't have sheers, you'll just need pure resilience). A hammer would be useful as well (watch to find out why). I do this all year long. I love how you told it to stay. Just the other day, I had stuff flying out of the back of my jeep. Also, I like to call it my civic duty pruning!

Next time you go foraging, you should bring along some water to put the branches in immediately. If you have a 5 gallon pail, you can bring and just fill the bottom so it doesn’t spill over at least they will get some water. If you can’t do that, you could get a box and put a few old spaghetti jars with some water in them.

Lovely arrangements..Some friendly info when foraging, unless its on the side of a highway, a property or land owner could report you for vandalism, trespassing or theft. Several states prohibit foraging. I would ask first, II have offered money for blooms I do not grow in my own garden, some take the money some do not.Some just like sharing. I would be careful going forward.

I forage All the time.. unfortunately I live in Az so aside from saguaro's and prickly pear.. i using go for mes quite branches which are super prickly!!!

What area of NJ are you? It's so pretty. But as another commenter said, you shouldn't just help yourself without asking. This time of year the lilacs are blooming and I am always tempted but don'!
