It was never a problem you showed and tried to solve .... The curtains are made explicitly in two parts for aesthetic purposes... It enhances look on bothe the sides of window... It is best idea for non usage places where use is to cover the place only

My curtains just like theirs have a Velcro strap in the middle. I believe this is the perfect way to use those velcro straps.

get two more curtain of the same colour & stitch the two as one so you have 2 sets ...using one on each side.... and there will be no gap
