Sold my note 20 ultra and bought a s21 ultra and I am already regretting it. The note 20 ultra was simply beyond its time. Epic phone.

I upgraded to the S22 Ultra from the Note 20 Ultra and I have to say I regret the decision. MST is something I used almost on a daily basis and I miss that feature. The software is buggier on the newer phone. Wifi just stops working randomly until I toggle it off and back on. Photos are marginally better (wouldn't notice the difference without a side-by-side comparison). And the speakers are worse on S22 Ultra compared to the Note 20 Ultra which I did pick up on immediately (look at the video from MaxTech for proof). S22 Ultra is also heavier and thicker compared to the Note 20 Ultra without really showing any improvement in battery life in the real world (both give me 7 hours of screen on time) . Obviously not having the micro-sd card is a downgrade but I can let that go. And lets be honest, there are maybe 100 people in the world who would feel the difference in performance of the two phones without doing stupid benchmarks and comparing them side by side. Lastly, the S Pen is made of crappier materials on the newer phone and doesn't match the color of the phone. So, what I'm saying is there are zero quality of life improvements when going from the Note 20 Ultra to the S22 Ultra. You lose useful features like MST and Micro-sd card without really getting any real world improvements. On paper S22 Ultra might be the better phone but not in real life.

I bought the s21 ultra and "downgraded" to the note 20 ultra. Best decision I ever made. I love this phone. And I don't see any reason to get the s22 ultra having owned the 21. The note 20 was ahead of its time

Love the Note20 Ultra design even the camera bump. S22 Ultra's design is nice too. I don't think I'm going to upgrade from Note 20 Ultra anytime soon.

That s22U is basically the "Note 20 Ultra 2022 edition" : no MST, no SD Card slot and smaller but in exchange a tiny faster and x10 optical lens, make your choice ! 😃

I have the note 20 ultra and I like it, but I remember that when I upgraded from the note 9 to the note 20 ultra I definitely felt how they were making us pay for less features at a higher price tag. For this reason I will always consider the note 9 the perfect smartphone ever.

Great video, keep up the great work! The new s22 ultra is a great looking phone, but it's not enough to make me get rid of the note 20 ultra! I'll wait for the next one

The missing microsd expandable storage is a deal breaker for me. My Note 20 has a 1TB microsd card in it and I really do need that space. Cloud storage is not an option for many reasons.

Never really got why Samsung or any other Android phone has never really did OS support for it's former phones. That there alone is worth it's weight in gold for me when looking at a phone.

would you ever comparing the note 10+ to the s22 ultra? id think that more note 10+ users would be looking to upgrade

Hey, I loved the way you handled the performance difference test. You went for a real world result rather than synthetic test that really means very little, wish you could have found more intensive types and added them to the list. I've actually not seen any reviewer make such a sensible review, I'd say this is a first and tops them all when it comes to relevance! I believe this is what really matters to us the users because we are not going to be running benchmark apps to feel good about performance.

Had the Note 20 for 2 years until I had water damage. Best phone ever! Now I'm rocking the S22 Ultra which is good in certain areas but not as polished as the Note 20 ultra sadly.

I just got the Note 20 Ultra for less than $550 from Amazon. I originally wanted the S22 Ultra but I had to get a new phone in a hurry cuz my S10 was having trouble connecting to mobile data. After some quick but thorough comparisons I went with the Note 20 ultra cuz the price difference, I just don't think the S22 Ultra is worth $500 to $600 more than the Note 20. It only seems slightly better in some categories and it's without SD expansion.
