NM Dan Heisman continues his series on helping you improve your chess game with a video on various options you have when an opponent pins your pieces.

These options include maneuvers such as block the pin, put the question to the bishop, ignore the pin, castle out of a pin, move the piece the pinned piece is pinned to, and even move the pinned piece (if it is not pinned to the king)!

Haha, it’s nice running into a video where it feels like Mr. Heisman made it just for you!

Great video covering so many options to handle this common move. Very clear and appreciate the information.

A logical follow-up to the guide to P-R3 video since that is one of the most natural ways to react to a pin.

Very interesting, I’ll check in my openings when I could just move the queen to get out of the usual pins I get
