14:40 that's a great question, what was used as coverings on airplanes. I read that A. V. Roe used 'butter paper' on his early planes like his 1909 triplane.

The wright brothers were wealthy buisness men, sons of a Bishop, who studied the works/designs of the father of aviation Sir George Cayley and Otto Lilienthal, they did NOT invent the airplane, they are only credited with developing the 3 axis control system. The Flyer was a development of Lilienthals gliders, fitted with an engine (built by someone else) and launched down a rail, pulled by two men into a 30 knot wind! Does that qualify as either an invention, no, or as a controlled take off and landing entirely under its own power, dubious indeed. Film in France 4 years (of cotinuous improvement) later shows a flyer carrying a passenger, extra 150 lbs, needing sand bags on pulleys to launch it! Stop using the word 'invented', men had flown hundreds of times before the Wrights.
