Thanks for the video. Phd in clinical psychology, I am happy to share. The three types of attachement Mary Ainsworth came up with are :
Secure attachment: if the care giver leaves the baby alone, he starts yelling till his caregiver is back. Then everything is ok and the baby feels secured again. No big deal.
The second attachment type is ambivalent. If the same situation occurs, the baby cries if the care giver leaves but when he is back, the baby won't feel safe anyway, like he can tell his caregiver may do it again without notice. The baby is kind of mad at his caregiver but in the mean time, he so wants this caregiver to take really good care of him. The baby doesn't really know how to behave eventually.
The third type is called avoidant attachment. Here, the baby doesn't care at all if his care giver leave the room and leaves him all alone because his is used to, because he now knows that his care giver ain't someone he can trust at all and. But the baby doesn't want to be left alone without any care at all. He faces sort of a dilemma. He knows he cannot make it by himself. But he now also knows (it took him around 11 months to carefully study his care giver) that his care giver doesn't want any sort of tenderness, cuddles of any kind. So he won't express anything IN ORDER NOT TO get on his care giver nerves.
There is a 4th attachment style actually. You can call it disorganized attachment. The child starts moving but stops abruptly. He wanna take a toy but doesn't know what he is doing. His anxiety is ++++. Those kids usually have a care giver unable to take care of them in a appropriate way. They fear them because they know they can blow a fuse any minute and become violent.

Dude, I need this guy on my monday mornings to linguistically slap me awake for the coming week. It'll probably raise my grades.

I was initially annoyed by his yelling, like a football coach, but his teaching was good enough that I stopped noticing. Good ezplanationa.

Yes. Children do not come programmed. They can only learn from that which they experience; how an experience is perceived depends on what the care givers involvement is in developing and guiding the child’s impressionable mind, toward positive or right thinking.
I have wanted a hug from my mom, for so many years. I just sometimes yearn for the comfort that I know she yearned for, my whole childhood...

Some of his terminology is wrong. He also said David bowlby. Which is hilarious.
