James great session on the Hills Line. Appreciate your approach to sharing the information! Look forward to operating on the railroad someday

If I changed scales it would be something close to this but 2 rail O scale. It would be focused on one or two local industries. Some sort of GP7 GP20 or SW working the job.

Great presentation! I don't yet have a ProtoThrottle, but I operate on a layout that uses the PT remotely with a UWT-100, and I can say from experience that some throttles work great with locomotives programmed for PT. Any potentiometer-based knobby throttle like the UT4 or Cab04/06p, as well as throttles with fast inc/dec like the NCE ProCab or TCS UWT-100 work great. The only thing that doesn't work is variable braking, you're either on or off. Encoder based throttles like the Cab 04/06, UT6, or DTx00 series will not work well. I have looked into the topic quite a bit as I am only planning on getting one PT, but I want to expand my layout to have three crews for switching, and be able to use locomotives programmed for PT on other layouts where I won't always bring the PT with me.

James, I’ve followed your model RR adventure since Grimes Line days, so thank you for sharing the Hills line. It looks great.
As a fan of you and Lance Mindheim’s, no surprise that my modern O scale layout follows similar principles.
If I join OPsig again can I read about your paperwork?
