I don't think the reporter understands what pinecone does. To put it simply into a parable about a new hire ... You have a human, that's really smart and you hire them, They don't know anything about your company and what you do. You give them a training manual and a catalog of what you do and they commit this to memory. Pinecone is the memory of the training manual and catalog. It stores the data into the vector database using the gpt models transformations. Now this information can be retrieved when you ask a question and then send it to gpt with your question so it can answer with context.

Is it possible to make an offline A.I. with vector software of my own? I need to learn more. Ive always wanted to build my own A.I. and train it on all types of books ive been needing to read and stuff.
