Diogenes owned nothing but his clay jar a bowl for drinking water. then he saw a kid cupping his hands to drink water and Diogenes threw away the bowl
he's philosophy is do not use more than is needed and in truth very little is needed (reportedly he lived to be 89)

I still prefer charles bukowski, a bit of a misanthrope (cynicism) with flecks of pessimism, nihilism, alcoholism, and a passion that only is born out of jaded idealists.
