Honestly, something struck me just now. Out of all my time listening to this song, I just realized it sounds like an almost perfect description of those terrible cults that have popped up about 20-40 years ago. Like the one in Waco, the one related to Halley's comet, and the ones who made everyone drink the spiked Kool-Aid( at the moment I don't remember their names, and I just want to write it while I have this in mind). Especially the parts talking about "leaving for another/better world, " "together all at once, " "wash it down, besiege the others, " and the other parts about "following god to the temple." It is a disgustingly amazing comparison between the cults that popped up along with the ones I mentioned. They all had these terrible ideas about following their religion to join in a "better world" while practically brainwashing people to blindly do the leader's bidding. Two out of the three killed had their members kill themselves (willing or unwilling) while the other one simply had most of their members stay put in the burning building. Is it a bad song now that I realize this? Nope, still sounds great. Will I forever onwards have images of desperate people being brainwashed and the mass death of almost the entire group because their followed their leader's words without hesitation? Yes. (I don't know if this was meant to be obvious or not, but I simply had something to mention that I discovered while listening. If it is supposed to be obvious, then sorry.)
