I've read all 3 books. In my opinion, I would recommend starting in order from:
1. Python Crash Course 2nd edition
2. Automate The Boring Stuff with Python
3. Learn Python The Hard Way 3


but really Python Crash Course was all I needed. It is an absolute beginner's book to learn Python.

I'm reading the O'Reilley book Learning Python, watching your Python tutorials, and I took your advice and started watching MIT's videos, but I had to start from 6.00 Introduction to Computer Science & Programming because the other courses are too advanced for me. I'm going to take it step by step, since I'm an absolute newbie haha. After mastering Python I'd like to learn a language like C and learn about artificial intelligence & machine learning, it's so intriguing. They are the future. Python Crash Course is an amazing resource. To suplement the list I would also advise to read:

Python Programming: An Introduction to Computer Science, 3rd Ed - John Zelle
Think Python 2nd Edition - Allen B. Downey - this biggest advantage of this one is that it's completely free.

Both of them go through the concepts of computer science with really nice tasks/projects to work on.

One side project I made was a web scraper that used the BeautifulSoup library to scrape various websites for job listing information, and then used SQLite3 to store that information into a database. Very fun project and I definitely learned a lot about python in the process

Python crash course was my introduction to programming. Only experience before that was a bit of freecodecamp with hmtl / css. Python crash course was a lot of fun, and very clear.
