Just like stocks, buy low & sell high. If a player is up and you don't have them, you're too late. Unless you're a fan or collector willing to buy them at the ceiling, chances are theirs no more money left to be made (usually)

Absolutely brilliant video. Great perspective on the current QB market and what it could look like down the road. EVERY football card investor needs to see this video!

Just because the game has changed doesn't mean that Brees is better than Marino, Elway, Montana, Staubach, Brady, Rogers, Manning...the list goes on.

I dont buy retail anymore. Not worth it.. only reason it was initially fun, was due to the ability to flip wax. The rare cards, autos, one of ones weren't hardly in those boxes. Essentially a gamble or a treasure hunt. Those cards always get pulled by vendors, breakers and people who have a youtube channel...

Yea maybe buying Josh allen now is a mistake but right before last season started his cards were super cheap and now are very profitable but I ain't selling.

The best Race Car Driver in the World was Aytron Senna ! We’re his wins … pole positions … Championships …. But go pool F1 fans … in 50 years …. Senna number one!

It just shows that buying base cards is not a wise decision. I’ve been looking at parallels and numbered cards even if they are graded lower.

Like the long video—really great info here. Thanks for posting this.
Mahomes cards are down not only because of the super bowl loss but also because the chiefs schedule is very tough this year and there’s a perception that the chargers are somehow ready to take the division. And as you noted, the baseline on his cards was so high to start (which is the same thing we’re now seeing with Herbert).
I think Tannehill rookies are a great place to invest right now. The Titans are loaded at offense, and their schedule is very favorable. Prescott is also a good investment—Cowboys are in a weak division in the weaker conference, he should have a big year.
Do you see much potential for growth for defensive players? You focused only on offense here....

I love your ideal of thoughts. I have one exception. Nobody was really in the hobby until 2017. If there was a hobby those older players cards would be ridiculous. Just a thought

May have to edit this comment later but my initial thought on this is about the market. Card collecting seems to be at its current peak and only growing. So in my opinion, aside from Tannehill, nobody in the right is relevant to date, so their cards wouldn’t compare. I may be wrong, but just my thought

It all depends if you’re collecting long term or treating it like day trading

Question for those with more experience. Is it better to have auctions end on Saturday night BEFORE the 1st Sunday? Or Sunday night after the games?
