I once came within 25' of a sasquatch deep in McCabe's Cove on lake Oroville, California. It was spring 1976 and I was fishing along the shore. The water level was up very high into the brush so I had to hike around several dense areas. As I was making my way around some thick brush I was focused on the ground in front of me and testing the grass with my fishing rod because I was nervous about rattlesnakes. I came into a small clearing where the heavy brush began to give way to small tan oaks and larger trees, and there I happened to look up to get my bearings before going further. It took me a couple of seconds to process what I was seeing. Standing in front of me at about 10 o'clock I saw a large harry creature standing as still as a statue. I guessed it was about 7' tall, very heavy set, with somewhat sloping shoulders. I sensed immediately that it was hiding among the backdrop of forest waiting for me to pass unaware. As soon as it realized that I saw it, the creature bolted upright, turned and ran through the dense forest. I was in shock and awe, my heart was racing. I quickly ran to where the beast had been standing. Looking around I could see several indistinct tracks, and in the direction where it ran it had blasted a whole right though the forest. At the time I didn't think about trying to gather evidence. I was pretty frightened and my adrenaline was high, so I ran a 1/4 mile up the steep hillside to the road and then back to where I'd parked. Later I researched some old news clippings at the Oroville library and discovered that there had been other sightings in the region going back to the 1940s, in particular a case on Table Mountain where an entire family was frightened away from their homestead. In 1976 the area where I saw the sasquatch connected to a much larger section of very remote and dense forest of maybe 100 or so square miles. I don't what the lay of the land is these days, but I've often thought about going there on a backpack adventure

I live in rural Northwestern New Jersey. Up in the mountains. Yesterday morning I was woken up by a gigantic roar. I have no idea what it was. It was before 5 AM and it was still dark. And I went to the window to look out and I noticed all of my neighbors were outside talking to each other. Who knows what it was?

Interesting theory. I work in the Zoology field and worked with Okapi which communicate with Infra sound, super low frequency noises. Elephants do the same thing but can pick up the sounds with their large feet miles away. Large big foot feet could do something similar!?

I think he's gonna be like Jeff Meldrum in the future, because he's so knowledgeable already ... And, he's so young, so he'll really probably be one of the first researchers to actually discover Bigfoot in the forest.

There is a doctor up Alaska who has a metal detecting channel. He has audio up on you tube and it's terrifying plus foot prints in snow. Worth look guys esp the video with audio it's hair standing stuff.

On the Mycelium as a Network theory. I saw a video recently that talked about the different underground networks and how all the plants are connected in good and bad ways. Some transfer Nutrients and water, while others break connections with dying plants and such. Separately there was a video about mind and body health. They touched on many things but one was very interesting, earth grounding. "Earthing (grounding) connects people to the Earth's natural healing energy." Lets take a step back, I am no expert on anything, I just like to listen and help connect the dots. If you look at Bigfoot as an animal that has been able to stay hidden all these years it might know a thing or two that we humans have forgotten as we expanded across the globe. Connecting these dots with others, maybe Bigfoot can connect to the mycelium network and know what's going on, from there just using its natural senses to find us and scare us away from their peace.

Out there I guess people use the rivers as roads. Its the only way to get around and carry a large amount of gear. So it's no surprise people see them on shorelines.

The only problem I have with that theory is there are soooo many stories of people stumbling upon the things and these things being just as shocked as the people. But who knows.

I suggest using some subtitles for that really difficult to hear account of the boat captain speaking. Seeing as how you probably heard him speak most clearly since you were there, you could probably figure out everything that he said. Just a thought.

You should read the book Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake. It talks about the potential for tapping into Mycelium network have having the ability to monitor entire forests. The book doesn't brings up Bigfoot but this is an interesting idea

I was deer hunting with my Apache Grandfather and Uncle in deep mountain country outside Red Bluff. I was about 12 years old and had a 15 shot Remington .22 long rifle semi automatic rifle. All of a sudden a huge creature, Big Foot jumped up about 30 feet away. I was so freeked out I screamed and cut lose with all 15 shots. I’m sure I hit it with every shot. It just turned and ran off while I turned and ran for my life. When I calmed down in camp I reloaded and refused to leave camp till it was time to go home. My Grandfather saw it too and said it wouldn’t be a good idea to hunt that area again. True story.

The mycelium connection would be like radar for them and give them a headsup so they can evade being detected and explains why sightings are rare. What puzzles me is why no remains are ever found.

Why camp out in a forest at all when you've a nice comfy bed to sleep in! I've never had a bear, cougar or sasquatch incident at home lol. Still much respect to those who do so as it keeps me entertained for hours.
