Mystery writer Cornelia Van Gorder has rented a country house called “The Oaks”, which not long ago was the scene of some murders committed by a strange and violent criminal known as “The Bat”. Meanwhile, the house’s owner, bank president John Fleming, has recently embezzled one million dollars in securities and has hidden the proceeds in the house, but is killed before he can retrieve it.

I started watching the black and white movie 🍿 of The Bat 🦇 before I saw that there was a colorized version of it so I switched to this one and already I’m so glad that I did. I especially liked the first glimpse of the castle 🏰 and the other buildings. They are so vivid and beautiful in the colorized version. In fact just it makes all parts of the movie more enjoyable. Kudos to the people who made this version 100 💯 percent better. 👌👌👌

With a top star like Agnes Moorehead, this film is bound to be a winner and it is! Saw it in black & white a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The colorization job is cool and wins hands down for a 10 out of 10. There certainly are some wizards out there in the colorization field that churn out only the best. While the black and white version was nice, now being in color, the film is 100 times more pleasurable to watch. Don't miss this one. The bogey man Vincent Price also stars and if he doesn't raise a few hairs, who will?
