The cool rainy months bring forth lots of young tender grasses. In the southwest of the U.S. the hillsides and valleys turn green with young grass sprouts during the winter and spring rains, even in some areas of the deserts. During a camping trip at Catalina State Park in Arizona I had the priviledge to eat wild, fresh, green grasses daily. Grass is an excellent source of chlorophyll and essential vitamins and minerals. Grass that grows in the earth and receives natural sunlight is far richer in nutrients than grasses grown in trays under artificial lighting for the purpose of juicing. If you think you may want to start adding grass to your diet or just want to store away the knowledge for a hiking adventure or survival situation, then watch and enjoy this video.

From what I've read, you can also cut the white portion of the grass where the roots and leaves meet and cook it like a tuber, since the cellulose in the grass itself is indigestible.

Thank you so much for this video. I just saw another video and the person claimed that if you eat a few raw nuts(3-4) along with the grass, the fiber will break down and you will not have to spit out anything. Just an FYI. Thank you so all you do. You are a natural in front of the camera.

When it comes to the indoor growing. I use my best compost from the pile in the back yard and uncoordinated water from the dehumidifier. Talk about natural. LED lighting is superior. It could be a 2 day long freezing cold blizzard noreaster in the middle of January outside but your indoor garden is thriving on the inside.

Omgosh I don't know why I started laughing so hard! As funny as I found this, our man Chad is 100% correct! Grass is one of the universal survival foods (acorns, pine [cadmium, seeds, needles], cattail [stalks, head, root], grass)! I guess what I found so funny was how he ate it raw and then had this animalistic reaction, like he was ready to start devouring all the grass he could find XD. My understanding has been that it is added to any soup or made as soup alone; i.e. boiled. Anyone else prepared it differently? I like the taste of the soup. :)

For how long can I store fresh grass? For example if I gather like 7 pounds on sunday(so I can juice 1 pound of grass each day), will the grass be juiceable for the entire following week, till next sunday? Should be stored int he fridge to prevent its juice to evaporate?

Also, what about actually eating the grass and swallowing the green fiber? How much WHOLE grass can be ingested daily?

Never delete this one. The only wild plants I try are grass and dandelions. They are super easy to identify, and clearly not poisoness.

With grass leaves there is a taste of something like purified water. It's refreshing.

Other Mammals like Dogs, Cows, Horses, Donkeys and Mules Eat Grass, so maybe they know something we don't know or forgot about. Does it taste as sweet as it smells when it's mowed?
