The hardest part of drifting is to have the money to do it

JP drifters really are "ride or die" when they go sideways, huh? Mad respect for them! XD

Where I'm from, we press square and then continue pushing down X as we tilt the joystick to one side.

Clearly we're superior!

I actually learned this from a historical documentary that I honestly recommend everyone to watch. It’s called: Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift.

This is like saying the hard part about reading isn't reading the words, but reading the letters.

You literally just described drifting.

Tokyo Drift made a lot of sense now I'm going to rewatch that movie again.

It's called a Scandinavian Flick and it's been around for a very long time. Invented for Ice Racing and used in Gravel Rallying.

Man thank you for reminding me what my goal in life is. To make enough money so i can drop everything and just drift the rest of my life

People here are mislabeling the Japanese “Touge Drift” (or the a “Inertia Drift” for an Initial D fans) as a “Scandi Flick”. First, the mechanics between a Touge Drift and Scandi are way different. One was built for speed and taking tight corners on downhill smooth asphalt, and the other is for a rally car with much different weight distribution. The Japanese Touge Drift requires a clutch click and can only be done with a manual transmission. The scandi does NOT require a clutch kick and you can whip that thing on an automatic transmission. Two completely different mechanisms — like calling a curve ball a slider just because they both break direction.

I love how he ignores the fact that the Japanese drifter was using his e-brake on and off.

As someone who is never going to drift in their life unless they're about to die, I appreciate the applicability, and the usefullness, of this information.
