Just so people know, this only works for P2P (peer to peer) connections. If there is a middleman server, which is most games, you are just going to pull the IP of that game server which you likely wont be able to do anything with.

Edit: So if you are trying to pull someones IP (for educational purposes of course), you will want to check what type of connection that game uses.

Both Xbox and Playstation use dedicated servers instead of p2p. They used p2p up until a few years ago. The only IP your gonna see is the server your connecting to, not the other members of the party. However, some games (like GTA 5) still use p2p.

This is kinda true, it still works by joining matches (depends on the game) but in parties Sony kinda patched it by server connection (there's automatic or server only) me personally I put always server only that way they can't get mine by parties
