Here are my thoughts on another classic Vital Lacerda game, Lisboa. From a solo perspective, I quickly go over what the game is about, followed by what I think and also comparisons between its official solo variant and another, fan-made solo variant designed by user GameRulesForOne on BGG. Enjoy!

Great review - I’m struggling to get this in the U.K. I did just order Vinhos Deluxe Edition though to add to me Lacerda collection. Between us, we will own everything. 😂

He's implying that it's not good for $200 solo. On top of the $200, you're recommended to search out other solo variants. This is consistent with other solo reviews I've heard. To spend that kind of money for a game where solo mode is an afterthought is just too bad. I will wait till I can find it for $50 or less at a used game store here in Seattle.

This review was incredibly helpful! I’ve been into the hobby now for about a year and I’m just now at the point where I’m craving heavier, more involved games. I’ve been looking into Lacerda’s games and I’m gonna start out with Vinhos and work my way up. I’ve been wanting to play this because I’m a huge fan of Ian O’Toole’s art and design, he’s incredible. So I’ve been looking into Lisboa and seeing if it’s something I can learn and I think I’m (almost) there. But this review helped a lot and I’ll check out the unofficial variant and see if it’s for me. Thanks again!

Great video and explanation. I've been wrestling with the idea of getting this game primarily as solo, and while there's a ton of praise for it the criticisms, like yours, have me skeptical about spending that much money on it. Any other similar games you might suggest instead? I love the idea of economic games like this and Brass (another game I'd love to have but not convinced on the "Mautoma") but they both seem lose too much from the transition from multiplayer to solo.

Thank you for this amazing review ! Just found your channel and already subscribed:)
Thai is just what I was looking for a solo player type gamer that can evaluate solo modes ! Thank you !!!

May I ask you 3 questions?

- what is your favorite Lacerda games solo ?
And the most difficult probably :) to you have a top list of your preferred solo games (all not only Vital Lacerda)

Thank you and greetings from....guess from where ? Portugal !!! Yes the same country as Vital Lacerda :) (shame on me that I do not have yet any of his games ...but I will after getting your thoughts)
