I like how this is one of the few moments we see takumi displaying any arrogance and it instantly costs him, like it did with the other racers he went up against

Bunta was just coming home from some errands and was just going to follow Takumi for a while. But using his hyper advanced hearing, a result of him never using his eyes, he could hear as Takumi called Akina "his home turf". Thus Bunta decided he needed to be reminded whose car he's driving and why it's as good as it is.

I like how subtle it tells you it's Bunta who's driving the car. At the moment Takumi asks 'Who are you?!' the anime immediately cuts to the Tofu shop. Very subtle but a good way to tell you in the face it's him

One thing I noticed is Bunta started off keeping distance with more oversteer but then tightened up on Takumi with less oversteer. It looked like he was just learning the car for the first time and figured it out by the third corner allowing him to keep an incredibly short distance to Takumi.
