Cosmetology Practical Examination Procedural Overview (02/11/2021)

PREPARATION OF WORK AREA & CLIENT PREPARATION

Immediately upon assignment to your work area, please begin to:
Step 1: Remove pre-mixed surface sanitizing solution and related supplies from your kit and sanitize your assigned work surface following required procedures. Be sure to attach a plastic bag for disposables to your workstation at this time.

Step 2: Set up general supplies that will be used throughout your examination as well as items needed for the haircutting techniques procedure. Be sure to also set out your container for blood contamination at this time.

Step 3: Sanitize your hands and secure your mannequin to workstation with a counter-top clamp; drape your mannequin and wait for further instructions.

I like when this lady does the videos and I hope that you will have her to do more of the chapters from chapters 11 through chapters 27. She speaks wonderful clear English and is more realistic. Doesn't have any language barriers whatsoever. Thank God that you have her she is a real Gem🥰🙆🏻‍♀️🎉💯‼️👌🏼😎📺😉📽️🎉🥳📺. Not that you would care you should have had her to do the esthetician testing practical as well as more of the cosmetology practical. 🤦🏻‍♀️🧐💯‼️

Isn't it unsanitary to have rings, bracelets, and long polished/gel nails? They touch all the surfaces and products while it is pretty much impossible to sanitize them... Also, wouldn't you want to wear gloves when using disinfectants?

Why is the trashed taped to the counter ? That’s basically the work space I mean we wouldn’t tape the trash to the kitchen counter where we prepare food . Also shouldn’t one set up the trash prior to sanitizing the counter top? You’d need to have a trash to throw it away. Also if you have a solid tool box or used tool box, why the barbicide? Doesn’t it need to be cleaned (soap and water free of debris) prior to going into the barbicide? ….. leave the comb on the floor and barely dip it in? Wow I’m really confused and this is a notable beauty school in New York . There’s def some gems here but honestly I see some things I would consider errors.

Can we have polished nails ? I just got a fresh set of gel manicure done and was told nails need to be bare .
