Spring MVC Controller name in Thymeleaf

In this tutorial we take a look at a problem a student in my introduction to Spring Boot Course had. He wanted to know how he could get the controller name into his Thymeleaf templates so he could use that and set the active tab of the section the user was on. We look at the problem and a few different solutions and walk through them all. The app we are using is a basic Spring MVC application that was created using Spring Boot.

This was good. A smart solution. Learned something new. Thank you. Though does it affact performance by any means? Because we are intercepting all the requests, would be interesting to know if this logic can be hurtful if im getting somewhat 10K requests per minute.
