I love how you can’t feel anger or hate from his lyrics. “Media and teachers and ghouls in disguise” and “manipulation of life” yet the rest of the songs promotes self-development rather than insist on pointing fingers - this purity Alec has needs to be protected

i didn’t understand what an alamo was, so that part of the song never made sense to me. my father explained it to me and it made me want to cry. if you don’t know he’s basically sayi nag he’s going to stand his ground even though he knows he’s not going to win. the alamo was a fort of 400 american soldiers during the spanish american was who knew 10, 000 spanish troops were coming to kill them. they had the chance to run, but they stood there and fought anyway because they knew they had to fight for their country. this song is so much more deep and amazing now that i know what that means. oml

There is such a contrasting message between the general lyrics and the rap/talking part...The first one emits such a positive message and the latter one is just so sad...
What if this song is not necessarily what he feels like at the moment, but his anthem to keep being alive, because he got a mission to pursue?
