Yea, I've been seeing plenty of cannibalism and cannibalism adjacent memes and concerns on Reddit mostly with regards to Rito ever since Breath of the Wild but it still surprises me how much people can get confused about this.

Humans are apes. Some humans eat bonobos, which are also apes, and I wouldn’t consider those humans cannibals, and well, lets just say the category of “fish” is a LOT more genetically diverse then the category of “apes”

I'm a little surprised at how many did not know this, but then they may be relatively new to the series. The Zora have been known to eat fish as far back as Ocarina of Time. There's a Zora in the shop who wants a fish but complains that he'll have to catch one himself because they are so expensive.
