Messi set the bar so high that when he was in his adaptational time in the new team with a completely different playstyle he got 25 g/a that season and he wasn't even nominated, if a 21 y.o player had 25 g/a he would easily get top 10

What people don't realise is that Messi actually missed a lot of games and also had Covid-19.

I am sure Mbappe will adapt his game for Messi next season, and I predict Messi will have one of highest scoring campaign next season. He has a great chance for 8th Ballondor if World Cup goes right for him to add to his 40 titles.
There is also the French Super Cup coming up, and what is insane is that this man caused havoc over the last 15 years in the BEST league in the world, La Liga. He is still amazing at 35, and I say this as a Chelsea fan.
The Copa America Champion & 7 times Ballondor winner has 769 goals + 331 assists in 974 apps. I am sure and I dream he gets to 1000 career goals as he is 2 years younger than Ronaldo. I can dream eh?

I have nothing more to say, the pure joy he has given us has been insane. Whilst I still put him and Diego in no:1, there is no denying his place in the history of football, sports - period.
