this is a moment from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey appendices. it’s my favourite moment from them and out of respect for him and in light of his death, i reckon everyone should see him in his final glory.

oh yeah and please be respectful in the comments. i’ve seen some that aren’t really nice.

Sir Christopher Lee did not die. He completed life.

The man was 92 when they filmed The Hobbit and he was still so dedicated. We'll never see an actor like that again in our lifetime.

Fun fact: Cristopher Lee is the only person in LotR movie crew who met and had a conversation with J.R.R. Tolkien

Christopher Lee's entire life was basically a LOTR level epic.

You do not rush Christopher Lee. If that man wants to talk, then you damn well let him talk!

Hearing an 'old boy' retell his stories....the old boy knows he's coming to the end, he wants to share all that he is before he is no more. It takes patience and humility to allow the old chap to recount things which were important to him. The more I see of Peter Jackson the more I like him.

Serving in WWII, fighting all over the world, on land, sea and air, then joining Military Intelligence and later to SAS, then starting a whole new career as an acclaimed thespian and a world renowned movie star, not to mention a side career as a heavy metal musician... What a life Sir Christopher Lee lived, and he he is still going strong...

"I came out onto the set of Revenge of the Sith, and I saw Ewan and Hayden standing there. And I just knew that if they tried to fight me, they'd embarrass themselves terribly. So I did this really awesome double somersault down to where they were standing and said 'Your swords, please. We don't want to make a mess of things in front of the Chancellor', which was my nickname for Ian McDiarmid, great, great actor that he is. I didn't realise that George had actually been filming the whole time."

Look at how everyone listens to him telling stories. He feels like an old warlord from ancient times sharing his tales and everybody just want every second of it. Just wonderful.

I love how he called everyone in the room “Ordinary people”, Only actors like Sir Christopher and Sir Ian can do that.

My dad had a friend in England who said he was taking out the rubbish on Christmas Eve and it was foggy and dark and Christopher lee came out of the fog and said "merry Christmas" and left.
