That poor little girl must have been so terrified and confused . This is heartbreaking 💔

He blinks repeatedly when he's not in control of the narrative (aka uncomfortable. Not bc he's embarassed of what he did, but bc he can't pretend he's not cold and unfeeling). When the murder is described to him, and the fact he could have stopped he says he "remembers that" and proceeds to describe his thought process in detail, even tho a few minutes earlier he said he doesn't remember it very clearly. What he's trying to do is mimic human emotion somehow, but he can't. He doesn't understand how to. It's very interesting and very chilling.

The fake emotions, the relentlesness, the look in his eyes. He talks exactly like a politic leader.

He wanted to kill her out self-gratification and excitement NOT because he was this poor, tortured soul.

Ella didn’t deserve this. She loved her brother…imagine the fear? A sweet little baby so confused..terrifying.

He doesn’t want to hear the 911 call because he knows that he WON’T have any emotional reaction. He has no emotions, psychopaths can only mimic the words and emotions of the people around them. On their own they feel nothing. The scary thing is he has refused to be evaluated or do interviews going forward.

The most chilling brilliance in his description is that he's both appearing to take responsibility for his actions "putting up a fight against myself" while also creating this dichotomy of the evil, vague version of his younger self that was just sad and in pain vs the loving, high minded true version of himself that he hopes will garner sympathy and potentially release from prison. He uses phrases like "would turn the world upside down" for his sister while not comprehending that a brother who really felt that way could not also do the things that he did (a prolonged and premeditated assault). I don't believe that all sociopaths can't live successfully in society, but there definitely needs to be a different method of guidance and code of conduct that takes into account the anti-social person's self-interest (ie you can't appeal to empathy when getting them to act in non-harmful ways).

“Even while I was stabbing her I was struggling with it.” Wow this guy is such a saint.

He has had a lot of time to practice his story. Even AI can describe many complicated feelings and inner conflicts in a convincing way, if it suits the end goal.

"Teachers spend more time with them then the parents" - This is a major problem in our society, especially today and our current situation today and moving forward.

He's describing narcissism: "I feel bad so I need you to feel bad aswell so I can feel better" And he couldnt take out the mother bc shes bigger than him, he needed someone smaller and defenseless ergo the sister. He knew what he was doing and did it on purpose, thats what he's saying. He may have an iq of 141 but that doesnt cure a wounded soul. narcissism runs in the family, it spreads so the grandmother being one, making her daughter, his mother one who then turns him into one is how it goes. I studied narcissism the past three years and this is a perfect example. There is no cure for it, he will never be normal, his soul is broken but at least he tried to explain it to us. Unfortunally it takes education to understand bc narcissism is SO far from a normal soul one gets, I'd say if you turn a normal person 180 degrees, you have a narcissist. Its the complete opposite of normalcy.

"His teachers didn't recognize he was a psychopath." Not part of a teacher's training but should be. Managing a classroom psychopath is extremely difficult and exhausting; the unrelenting manipulation and coercive activity requires constant alertness to protect other students.

I don’t know why they’re not saying this (maybe because it was televised), but he also SA’d his sister when he was stabbing her. And mutilated her further to try and cover up the signs of SA. This monster should never see the light of day again. Even if he was a child when he committed this crime, no one grows out of that kind of depraved behavior.

Anybody else spotted the duppers delight at 2:59? A barely noticeable, very quick smirk, he clearly tried to suppress, when saying he remembers the moment his sister was dying. He is definitely a sadist.

That he will walk free one day is the scariest thing I have ever heard!!!!

He doesn’t want people to realize the monster he is. He doesn’t want people to realize the demonized evil inside of him so he avoids what he remembers so he doesn’t exactly have to go into full confession of his true feelings. He remembers everything and he meant it in every way.
