How to Program Mercedes Garage Door Opener – Mercedes Benz C300 Garage Door Programming

When bringing home a new Mercedes one of the first things you’ll want to do is program the garage door button. In this video I’ll show you how it’s done on a 2015 C300 but the process should be similar on other Mercedes models.

First insert turn the ignition on until the dashboard lights up but starting the engine is not necessary. This next part is optional but since this is a new vehicle I’m going to clear the buttons by holding the first and last garage buttons down until the LED light turns solid green. When that happens all the previous codes have been erased.

Now pick the garage button you want to program and press and hold until it starts blinking red. Now get your garage remote within 6 inches of the car mirror and press and hold the open button. If the LED on the mirror turns solid green you’re done and the button will open your garage door. But if the LED blinks green that means your garage opener has rolling code system.

With a rolling code system you’ll have to find the training button on the garage motor itself. Press this button once and return to the car. Now push the programmed button in the car for 2 seconds, let go and then repeat it again until the garage door starts to operate. And now programming the remote garage door button in my C300 is finished. If you have two garage doors just repeat the process minus the part about erasing the codes.

Went through all the steps even for a rolling code and still did not work from the Mercedes mirror. All it did was disable my factory garage door remote and I had to reprogram the remote. Called homelink and they couldn’t even get it to work with my 2013 Mercedes c300! Homelink on Mercedes imo is useless! With my Lincoln all I had to do was press the middle button til it flashed then press my remote and it learned instantly. Mercedes made things difficult on homelink
