Debrecen is Hungary's second-largest city, after Budapest, the regional centre of the Northern Great Plain region and the seat of Hajdú-Bihar County. It was the largest Hungarian city in the 18th century and it is one of the Hungarian people's most important cultural centres.

Debrecen was also the capital city of Hungary during the revolution in 1848–1849. During the revolution, the dethronement of the Habsburg dynasty was declared in the Reformed Great Church. The city also served as the capital of Hungary by the end of World War II in 1944–1945. It is home of the University of Debrecen.

Nagyon jó, hiánypótló videó. Érdemes lenne legközelebb lemenni az egyetem területére is, kollégiumok. És főleg a kémia épület környékét bemutatni, mert arról egy videó sincs! Aki oda járt régen egyetemre, azt nyilván érdekli, hogyan fest ma az a környék, felelevenednek a régi emlékek, az előadások a K2 nagyteremben, a laborgyakorlatok, a szemináriumok, amiket végigültünk. A drága jó vegyszerszag, a sztorik, a hallgatótársak, szobatársak, előadók, tanárok, a vizsgák előtti izgalmak, stb.

A very good video that fills a gap. It would be worth going down to the university area next time, and the student hostels. And especially the area around the chemistry building, because there is no video of that on youtube! What a shame. Anyone who spent their time at the university as a student in the past will be interested to see what the area looks like today, and will be reminded of old memories, the lectures in the K2 main hall, the laboratory exercises, the seminars we sat through. The precious smell of chemicals, the stories, the fellow students, roommates, lecturers, teachers, the excitement before exams, etc.

If you've been there as a student from further afield, you may not be able to travel there again and see what the university and the chemistry building area looks like nowadays. The Great Forest Park would also be worth a visit, there is a Frog Lake and a waterfall with benches, what is a great rendezvous place for guys and girls :)

It might be worth writing when the recording was made. Obviously not long before the upload, but 10 years from now it might be interesting if someone were looking for a video from 10 years ago and typed Debrecen, 2022
