Smart Environment Scanner Ideas for Blind People Using Raspberry Pi + Python + IoT🍓

Those projects are inspired by the real-life story of Rabindra Lal Das, a man who has been blind for the last 20 years. He was born with complete blindness in one eye, and tragically, the other eye was damaged by a stick injury two decades ago. According to his family and medical reports, the damage to his optic nerve is irreversible, making traditional eye treatments or surgeries impossible.

After completing this project, I reached out to his family and confirmed that his condition cannot be cured medically due to complete neural damage.

Through this innovation, we aim to bring hope and assistance to people like Rabindra who face daily challenges navigating the world. This smart system uses ultrasonic sensors, Python code, and vibration/audio feedback to help blind individuals detect nearby obstacles and move safely.
