My uncle is an M1 commander. When I told him I learned to drive an M4, he said I might as well be classified to drive a dozer or a tractor. Funny enough, I DID learn to operate those things and DID do it. Pretty hard

My uncle was a tank driver in WW2. He never spoke about it after the war. I am glad there are still some men around to share their stories.

My maternal uncle was a m36 driver & his TD was knocked out by a pk36 across the Leine River in march of 1945. He took a long time to recuperate .

My Father was in the Italian campaign. He was in the Corps of Engineers.
He said the Shermans were crap over and over again.
