Pilot Vlog 9: Enjoy this lost episode from a flight a few week's back which I completely forgot about. It was an IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) flight from Horsham back to Moorabbin Airport with a solid overcast layer at 3000 feet. Great opportunity for some cloud surfing then descending through cloud for the RNAV approach at Moorabbin.

Aircraft is a Cirrus SR20 VH-TDS. This vlog features the departure from Horsham, Air Traffic Control conversations, cloudsurfing over Port Phillip Bay, flying over water with a life jacket, and the RWY35 RNAV approach and landing.

VERY IMPORTANT: I am a private pilot and am NOT qualified to give flying instruction. This video, like all videos on this channel, has been significantly edited from the original source footage and is provided for entertainment purposes only. Many radio calls and procedures have been omitted. If you have any questions about anything you see or hear, please speak to a Certified Flying Instructor first.

Filmed on a GoPro Hero4 Session and GoPro Hero4 Silver.

This may seem weird, but it seems as though you are flying just above the ground when you are actually just above the cloud layer. Not many people get a brilliant view like that, and yes it is extremely cold at the moment. Maybe we should move up to queensland for some warm relief. Thank you for another great video.
