For the people saying his name wasn't Shogun. If you watch the movie he calls himself the "Shogun of Harlem" and his crew calls him Sho'nuff.

He was also a pastor of a church in Harlem, NYC. He had a kind heart and helped anyone in need. May he R.I.P.

He is the one that made the movie interesting other than staring at vanity

He was the only villain nobody hated, except for children. They’ve got wild imaginations. Lol I luv it. I was rooting for Bruce Leroy all the way. But when Sho’Nuff was on the scene, you really couldn’t help but just love everything about him.

Am I The Prettiest? Sho Nuff!!! Great Video. I always wondered what happened to him after The Last Dragon. RIP to the actor Julius Carry.

His name was Sho Nuff not Shogun, he was the Shogun of Harlem, everyone who grew up in the 70s, black or white knows this classic.

So glad you referenced Brisco County Jr. Julius and Bruce Campbell were a dynamic duo. They played very well off each other. The banter between the two was hilarious.

Last Dragon was my favorite movie growing up also. My sisters and I watched it so much, we knew every single word to the movie. I didn't know the actor, Julius Carry died in 2008. Thanks for making this video about him.

I found out about this movie over 2 decades after it’s release in the theaters. Heard about it in 2006 & later in 2008. My high school friends kept calling me Bruce Leroy and shouting “Who’s The Master?!!” I had no idea what they were goin on about. At that time 06 - 08 I was training hard in the Martial Arts diligently everyday.

Everybody told me I looked like this Bruce Leroy. They said we were of similar build, with identical faces. Only difference I was much darker, bigger fro & a bit taller. I didn’t end up seeing the movie til I was 21. I saw a familiar lookin face in the DVD section in a grocery store. I was shocked to see the uncanny resemblance. Even the voice pattern was scarily accurate.

I bought it, watched it and fell in love with it. It was kinda eerie to see similar events between Taimak & Vanity, cuz that mirrored similar events that played out in my life. There was this gorgeous light skin sista who liked me. But I was naive, I didn’t know anything about that kinda stuff. Lol. Getting side tracked. I loved all the characters in the movie. Bruce Leroy was definitely my favorite, but so was Sho’Nuff. The actor who played him was somethin special. Along with the other cast. Thank you Terry!!!

I remember going to the movies to see this. I’m glad to see that the brotha was still acting. I’m sad to hear he passed away. He looked so much older in the last dragon. They did a great job on hair and makeup. That curl was popin’ 😂 He is definitely a scene stealer in the film. And the last Dragon I would consider a cult classic.

He was only just in his fifties. So sad☹️ I loved his performance in The Last Dragon. He was also very tall and so skinny they had to pad his outfits to fill him out More. Truly the best villian of the eighties.🥀🌷🌹🌺

Deon Cole from "Blackish" could play him in a biopic.
