Actually, you can download free skins for bedrock too. Only difference is, you import them, rather then immediately set them as your skin via the marketplace.

Hey Prism! The reason why the bubble column looks like a full block in bedrock at 7:13 is because you had your settings on simple mode. In visual settings you can turn on all fancy graphics, including fancy bubbles and a fancy toggle feature at the bottom of the tab. This’ll make the game visually look much better adding the Java bubble columns + shadows and shading to the entities in your world just like Java ^^

Bedrock bubbles only look like that if you have one of the graphics settings off

A couple corrections:
- There is a pvp gamerule in Java Edition.
- You can press “/“ to open chat in Java Edition, not just “t”, and it automatically puts in “/“ as the first character to make commands easier.
- Using bonemeal on certain flowers in Bedrock Edition like poppies and dandelions will spread the same flower nearby.
- In the newest version of Java, sheared sheep now show the color wool.
- Villagers will show you trades in Java Edition as well, and it doesn’t only apply to emerald trades.
- You don’t have to type out the gamemode switching command on Java Edition, you can press F3 + S to toggle between your current gamemode and spectator mode, or press F3 + F4 to switch to any gamemode.

You can actually add any custom skins or worlds to bedrock as well

The only difference is that you have the option to create your own customized character if you want with many free clothes, hairs, etc… even tho you do have the option to pay money if you really want to.

One thing I really like about the character customization is that not only it blinks but you can actually choose how tall you wanna be, having small normal and tall. Also many of the clothes are animated and you can get them for free ^^

A lot of these differences are outdated especially on the Bedrock side. Here are a few incorrect differences I noticed:

8:44 - This is true by default but ever since 1.21.60, there now exists an option to disable censoring called "Filter Profanity".

27:28 - You are able to use free custom skins in Bedrock as long as your on mobile or PC. Console platform restrictions make custom skins impossible on those versions.

29:28 - You have always been able to get free content on Bedrock through sites like MCPEDL and its even been officially stated by the Marketplace team that they freely allow and even encourage creators to post their content on both the Marketplace and third party sites at the same time.

33:29 - Bedrock has shader support that is currently in Preview. In addition, even before Render Dragon, players were able to create and use Java-level shaders for free.

35:43 - Enderman can no longer teleport out of boats on Bedrock as of 1.21.60

38:29 - Iron golems can no longer be created with un-carved pumpkins as of 1.21.30

38:56 - Most items have the same durability in both versions, but a bug on Bedrock allows items to be used one extra time.

42:50 - "Cooked Beef" In Bedrock Edition was renamed back to "Steak" to match Java Edition in 1.21.30

42:59 - Enchanted golden apples were nerfed in Bedrock to match Java as they now give Regeneration II instead of V

51:10 - Bedrock grass generation was brought into parity with Java in 1.21.60

I play on Bedrock. I like it and I like its features, but sometimes I wish it had some of the things that Java has that it doesn't. I just wish both versions were the same...
Edit: uhm have i started an argument in the comments...?

I don't understand why they waste so much effort maintaining two separate versions of the same game
