"With the music video, we wanted to capture an isolated/doomsday bunker aesthetic to emphasize the lyrical themes of emotional callus throughout the song. There was no real initial concept, just a collaboration with directors Raffaele Dilullo and Anthony Peduzzi to fully capture the feelings of emotional callus visually. We filmed the whole video in/outside of our home studio in January 2019. It was 20 degrees outside, so we just treated it as a wholesome snow day with hot chocolate breaks. I dropped a ceramic sewing machine on my foot and broke my toe while making this thing. We hauled drums into a thicket of pines with a quad while it was snowing. It all felt ridiculous, but the visual results accurately express the feelings of uneasiness within emotional callus I felt when writing the song itself.” -David Beck
