My first tyranid i applied the wash without thining it down so my tyranid prime was a pinky purple so I let it dry and painted it with wraithbone again

So I followed this guide and on the Contrast Medium/Magos Purple skin step I find that it turns out much more purple than the pinkish hue shown in the video.

can i get the same effect with the magos purple if i use water instead of medium

I need some advice. If I used black primer instead, but dry brushed the flesh part with a warm peach colour and then put a bunch of thinned down purple paint as contrast paint, would I be able to achieve a warmer look for the flesh? Thanks!

Has anyone tried it without painting wraithbone over the spray can wraithbone? Did it turn out just as good? No way I’m painting over the undercoat with the same color, lol
