Your engine will not have good velocity with that tiny hole. It create massive back pressure and it no good for the engine.

All higher CC yamaha motorcycle from 2006 + have this its called "EXUP " Exhaust ultimate power valve..its just a power limiter controlled by a valve and ECU..Most people removed it and replaced with a high flow header exhaust system..
