So I think the one thing about my last single that people misconstrued about me is that I had completely moved on from my previous relationship and was suddenly this happy single guy. Most people thought “oh ANTH got cheated on, made that diss song, and he’s now out living it up”…while in reality I was dealing with one of the hardest break ups I’ve ever been through. People saw my fake smile but didn’t know the sadness that truly lied behind it. They heard and felt the anger in my last song but didn’t see all the pain that was fueling the anger. Regardless of how a relationship ends, you can’t just snap your fingers and forget all moments of happiness that person made you feel. At the end, there will still be hurt, there will still be pain, there will still be that feeling of emptiness and loneliness. There will still that horrible feeling where you walk around day and night feeling like something is missing. This new single describes the other, vulnerable side of my recent break up 🖤
