So most 10m pseudo cbs don't turn me on for serious 10m usage, but oh boy, this is a beauty. 10m is one of my favourite bands and I almost take it personally if I'm asked to review rubbish, but oh boy, super impressed with the QT80, very easy to learn very quickly. I also have to give credit to Techminds youtube channel that gave a more technical breakdown of the QT80, anyone who knows me is I just like to chat to people all over the world and the QT80 just ticked so many boxes as an operator, extra easy to get around all of its functions. Grab a QT80, go to the Radioddity website and grab the deal below, cheap as chips for a great radio..

Press and hold the BAND button to enable REAL VFO mode (get it out of CHANNEL mode!!!). Set the PF key to CH.PUSH. Set RXNR to level 1. It is a great radio that is far more advanced than most will expect. (QT-80 and AT-6666PRO are exactly the same). 73

I find these radios interesting but with a bit more money you can have an FT891 from Yaesu. Then you have the HF spectrum all the way to 54 mhz with I'd imagine a much better receiver. Thanks for the video.

I never get these radios. I just go for a compact all-band ham rig, mod it, and save the CB channels to memories 1 through 40! Easy!!!

Radioddity is rebadged Anytone. And you can program them (and expand them) with Anytone software.

well this is the 6666pro radio, justy re branded so its not like you would compare the two radios, The QT80 is the 6666pro just re-branded by RadioO.

Silly question… you describe it as a “quadbander”. And yet it seems like a single band radio? What’s the deal here?

Still makes the 891 with 20 and 40 hard to not get for a few hundred more. If they could add a tuner and just 20 meters...even just 20 meters and no tuner...and keep it around 300 this could be a very nice POTA radio. Assuming it does cw and battery consumption is reasonable. Also nice to see someone using 10m...I never hear anything there in the northeast of the US.

Show us the radio on 15 meters please. And when you do, please describe the frequency range. Is it general coverage from 21.000. MHz continuous up to 30 MHz for short wave listening? Or does it break off between 15 meters and 12 meters. Someone said, 15 meters is 21.000 to 21.500. Curious to know after you swap that jumper under the bottom cover from pins 1&2 over to pins 2&3 what is the actual frequency coverage of the radio from 15 meters up. Thanks for the review 73’

I need to get a counter on how many times you smack like at 5:45, 6:06, 6:15, 6:36, its like as soon as I noticed it’s like all I keep hearing. Not trying to be mean but it’s kinda distracting. Not trying to be a mean, I know a lot of us do stuff like this and not realize it. .
