The Earth will soon have a new moon! The gravitational pull of our blue home planet is about to capture a foreign celestial body and temporarily make it its companion! In contrast to our well-known moon, however, this natural satellite is somewhat more compact: the asteroid 2024 PT5 is just 10 meters in size – and after only two months it will break free from Earth's gravitational field and disappear into the vastness of space.
