Baldur's Gate Trilogy - 1080p Powerplay (Part 1)

Показать описание
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 all in one go! Part 1 is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes long. Unfortunately I never got around to finishing this project :( Considering the amount of work (editing the footage and planning+playing through the game) I find it very unlikely I will ever complete this project.
It started with me running Baldur's Gate Trilogy in 360p (I think I ran it in 1024x768 at half-capture mode). Now I have a decent computer which can record 1080p video, and thus wanted to start this from the beginning so I could make it watchable in great quality. You can now actually make out what the NPCs say! I am totally amazed by the graphics in Baldur's Gate. Such an old game, and it is aging REALLY well. This is a pleasure to watch.
Group has undergone slight changes, as well as editing style. This time I will show shopping, as well as character ability rolls. I also promise that this time I'll play through all of BG1, SoA and ToB just so you don't have to! Last project got on halt just when it got interesting and the group started to mean some serious business. This group should do just that and more.
Do note that I used a different version of the game (or actually the utility that allows me to run all of the games in one go using some form of the BG2 engine) this time, which means some things have changed. For example Tazok was unkillable in this version, so I could not get his sweet gauntlets. Some other small changes include arrow stacks at 20 vs earlier 40. There are plenty of others, but they mostly should remain hidden to you, the viewer.
I've tried to make this nice and quick, skipping through content that I didn't consider "almost necessary" (I may or may not have gone out of my way to get a powerful item for example).
Chapter chatter, movies, important talks and such are intact. Actions performed during a pause are removed, as well as regular talk with NPCs unless it has voice acting. I'm pretty sure I got the editing about 99% correct, but in a video that will probably end up around 10 hours in length, there are bound to be some mistakes.
The group is:
Dahkelor, Lawful Good Human Inquisitor - 18/84 STR, 7 DEX, 18 CON, 8 INT, 18 WIS, 18 CHA, wielding a two-handed sword.
Istaria, Neutral Good Human Kensai (dual-classes to Mage at level 7): 18/42 (Later 19) STR, 18 DEX, 18 CON, 18 INT, 18 WIS, 5 CHA, wielding dual warhammers before dualclassing.
Shantrolm, Neutral Good Human Berserker (dual-classes to Cleric at level 7): 18/97 STR, 18 DEX, 18 CON, 11 INT, 18 WIS, 3 CHA, wielding dual flails.
Dhalarina, Neutral Good Half-Elf Blade: 10 STR, 18 DEX, 16 CON, 18 (Later 19) INT, 15 WIS, 15 CHA, wielding a long bow until later when she switches to dual scimitars.
Eowendyl, Lawful Neutral Human Swashbuckler (dual-classes to Mage at level 7): 18 STR, 18 (Later 19) DEX, 18 CON, 18 INT, 11 WIS, 5 CHA, wielding a crossbow.
Shirluena, Lawful Evil Half-Elf Mage/Cleric: 11 STR, 18 DEX, 16 CON, 18 INT, 18 WIS, 3 CHA, wielding a sling.
The route is pretty similar to my earlier video. Started again with the ring of wizardry and basilisks for experience, as well as the essential gauntlets of dexterity and some useful/powerful items and money.
I will include the rest of the route with details later on. This part includes everything from the beginning to the Duchal Palace (Chapter 7 of BG1).
