BLADE RUNNER 2049 | Why It FAILED At The Box Office!

With the new BLADE RUNNER 2049 film releasing this past weekend in theaters, film nerds have gathered to witness the long awaited sequel for 35 years...only for it to underperform at the box office. In this video, I discuss the major factors as to how it expectedly reached that point. Enjoy! :)

Blade Runner 2049 has a serious pacing problem that kills its momentum.

It has so many problems:digital doesn't work, the villian (actress was good) needed a complete rewrite as she's a super powerful robot (so many possibilities there and none were taken) there was an overall lack of energy (the replicants in the original jumped around and were desperate), lastly, and this is the clincher - the edit is not good enough and overall it's 25 minutes too long. That villain needed major story improvements, think Arnie in Terminator, not too much exposition which is what Bladerunner 2049 is.

Watchmojo are those kind of guys that think if a movie makes more money it's better. They put thor ragnarok and spiderman homecoming higher that blade runner 2049 on their top 10 best movies of 2017 list. What a bunch of idiots.
