The two stories are actually quite similar in ways where their characters both start out as soulless beings who are trapped in an endless cycle, then try to figure out who they really are and slowly begin to develop their humanity throughout time. For example, Officer K discovering his life is a lie and then slowly realizing that whatever happens, he is still a living being and that his life belongs to him, connor slowly realizing that he isn't just a machine who "accomplishes it's missions, " Marcus learning to lead his people into a brighter future WITH humanity to find peace and forgiveness, and Kara, Alice and Luther learning how it feels to want to protect, love and cherish someone, to become a mother, a father, a daughter, most importantly, a family. Ofc, this only happens if you get the good ending in DBH. Both stories are beautiful in their own right.
