I litterally listened to this for the first time at the perfect time. The friend part? It hits me hard. I had a friend who left mid-friendship and it broke me. I didn't know if it was my fault or if it was hers. Being so anxious, I thought it was mine. And I pushed my other friends away. I didn't want to take a nother shot at starting over. But I listened to this song so many times, so many tears fell as I looked at pictures and reminders of my lost best friend. And they fell so hard. But when I was done, I wiped them away and looked up to thank God for helping me cry again (I had been avoiding the emotions for a while now.) Once I was done crying, I listened harder to this song and Knew deep down it was right. She wasn't meant for me anyway and the damage she brought made me who I am today. And though it hurt, I let go of her and you know what? I'm pretty thankful for the damage because healing from it made me who I am today ❤️
