Conservative Party 'holding on to power at all costs': Isabel Oakeshott

Talk TV International Editor Isabel Oakeshott says the Conservative Party is “holding on to power at all costs” by pushing the election out as far as they “humanly can.”
“I thought what you were going to say is holding on to power at all costs by pushing the election out as far as they humanly can make it go,” Ms Oakehsott told author Douglas Murray in response to a question as to whether the Tory Party could survive the next election.
“He [Prime Minister Rishi Sunak} very naturally said look my working assumption is second half of this year.
“I think most of us have really thought that’s when it would be – he still of course has it in his gift to suddenly say a few weeks’ time if something extraordinary happens and suddenly fortunes look better for the Conservatives.
”Latest polling in the UK shows 61 per cent of voters would like to see an election before May."
